Ingo Politz at the drums

Special guest:
Clint Lutes (dancer from New York)

Okay, where shall I start? First of all, there were a few differences between the show in Erfurt and the show in Schwerin. In Erfurt, Lucinda skated two times and three times in Schwerin. Yuka Sato & Jason Dungjen skated one time in Erfurt and two times in Schwerin. Jenni Meno & Todd Sand were in Erfurt but not in Schwerin!!
I don't remember the exact order in which the skaters performed their programs, so...

First part

Opening - Rammstein "Mein Herz brennt" (My Heart is Burning)
Well, I don't remember too much of the opening just that I was surprised that they were using heavy metal music. It started with Clint doing some dance moves on the ice. When Katarina Witt came on the ice the audience began clapping and cheering like mad. Well, the people were of course there because of Katarina. Kati Winkler & René Lohse as well as Elena Berezhnaya & Anton Sikharulidze were not there which made me worry a bit. At the end of the opening there was some small firework, each skater was introduced and Ingo Politz did a drum solo.

Kati Winkler & René Lohse Glashaus - "Wenn Das Liebe Ist" (If This Is Love)
I had already seen this program at the ARD Gala in Regensburg last year. Now, that I got to see it live once more, I liked it better although I am absolutely not a fan of Glashaus. I really love Kati's costume and they skated the program better than at the ARD Gala.

Lucinda Ruh "Think Pink"
This was a funny program in which Lucinda wore red hot pants. Before she came on the ice, Daniel Weiss told the audience about Lucinda's incredible spins and how many turns she can do in one minute (140 or something like that?) and that that's world record. The program was funny and made the people clapp along with the music. They were surprised about her spins and cheered and clapped a lot.

Steven Cousins "Wicked Game"
I like that program but it gets boring a bit because the music is so slow. Still it showed Steven's great musicality and dancing ability.

Jenni Meno & Todd Sand "Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing"
A very nice program of which I don't remember that much though. The most shocking moment for me was when they did their trademark exit of the lasso lift. I don't know how close her head was to the ice but it was definitely closer than when a pair does the headbanger. It was definitely less than a few inches.
I was pretty disappointed when I saw that they weren't in Schwerin.

Katarina Witt
When she came on the ice, Jenni had to pull Todd away from Katarina and she had to stop him from flirting with her. lol Katarina skated to an extremely slow piano song called "I Fall In Love Too Easily" or something like that. That program was simply boring, in my opinion.

Katarina Witt and Steven Cousins
They did an ensemble number in which Katarina seduces Steven. This number shows what a great actor Steven is. A very funny number which ends with Katarina kissing Steven and him falling on the ice totally in awe because of Katarina.

Denise Biellmann "La Wally"
Finally a program that I really like. This music suits her much better than any of her pop numbers. I don't know who sings "La Wally" in this version but it is definitely not the version of Sarah Brightman.

Takeshi Honda The Calling - "Where Ever You Will Go"
I really like that song. Takeshi surprised me. This is a very nice exhibition program though I like his short program which he performed in the second part of the show much better.

Now Daniel Weiss started telling some short story: He said that a few days ago (on Tuesday), Katarina's cell phone rang and that it were Elena Berezhnaya & Anton Sikharulidze calling. When I heard that, I knew for sure that they weren't there and I was sooo disappointed. Daniel told us that they were already at the airport when their bag had been stolen and that in the bag had been their passports. They couldn't leave the US. What a shame. If they ever find the thief...*grrrrrrrrrrrrr*. Instead they got Yuka & Jason for the show who had just arrived from the US at noon the same day. From this moment on I couldn't enjoy the show in Erfurt as much as I wanted to. The shows in Erfurt and Schwerin had been the last chances to see Elena & Anton, my favorites, live for a very long time.

Yuka Sato & Jason Dungjen "Ribbon In The Sky"
As much as I adore Yuka's skating style...and this program is really nice but they were so slow. At times I would think that they almost stop during a lift or almost stand still during the exit of a lift.

Group number "Schneller, Höher, Weiter" (Faster, Higher, Further)
This was a very short group number. Clint ran around the ice (off ice), chasing Katarina. Most of the skaters ran out on the ice, did a death drop and a spin, and it all ended with the skaters doing as if they were exhausted and another drum solo.

Second part

Lucinda Ruh and Clint Lutes
This was a great and interesting number with cool music. Clint did some dance moves on the stage and Lucinda had to repeat them on the ice. I hope that they will show it on TV when they broadcast the show.

Denise Biellmann Angelzoom
Denise skated to a slow song performed by Angelzoom on the stage. First I really liked the program but it, soon, get's boring cause it's a bit one-sided. This time I was just happy that Denise didn't do one of her pop numbers!

Takeshi Honda Vanessa Mae - "Leyenda" (or something like that)
This was a great program. His new short program to be exact. It's a flamenco style program and it suits him so well. It started with Clint doing some tap dance on stage and Takeshi repeating it on ice. It was really great!! Great step sequences. With this program he may end up on the podium.

Kati Winkler & René Lohse
I was a bit surprised and also disappointed. It was written in a skating magazine that they would perform their new original dance for the first time. Instead they performed their old original dance from last season. Well, at least I got to see it now because I hadn't seen it last season.

Yuka Sato & Jason Dungjen (only in Schwerin)
They skated to some classical music piece. When I saw their costumes I was like: Oh, great, they'll do "Songbird" from last year. But I was wrong. It didn't leave any lasting impression on me though.

Lucinda Ruh "Dance Sabre" (only in Schwerin)
This was a fast program, in my opinion even too fast to skate to but Lucinda manged this quite well. This was my less favorite program of her.

Katarina Witt Tango of the Moulin Rouge Soundtrack
That was finally a program that was a little interesting. Still it didn't leave any lasting impression to me except that Clint came on the ice again to "catch" Katarina.

Laurent Tobel Carmen
I don't think I need to say anthing here. Everybody must know this program by now. lol The beginning was funny though. Laurent came on the ice while Katarina was still there. He pointed at the "imaginary" clock on his wrist to let her know that it was about time for her to go and he chased her and almost pushed her off the ice.

Kati Winkler & René Lohse and Yuka Sato & Jason Dungjen SUB7even - "No More"
Oh what a wonderful group number. This was my favorite program of the evening as well as the duet of Lucinda and Clint. The two couples skated to a beautiful song performed by SUB7even on stage. They did severaly lifts next to each other and... oh it was just wonderful.

Steven Cousins Tom Jones Medley
When Daniel Weiss introduced him as Mr. Charming skating to Tom Jones, my reaction was: Oh no!!! Please, not another Sexbomb program!!!! Luckily it was not. At the beginning, Steven stood in the audience, flirted with the women and did some hip wiggling. It was funny. The "pussycat"-part was a bit boring, though.

Finale SUB7even - "Free Your Mind"
The choreography of this group number was quite nice. It was interesting to see which skaters like to dance and which not. From Steven Cousins and Kati Winkler, over Yuka Sato to Jason Dungjen. Such differences. In the end, Clint came out on the ice as well and the whole show ended with another small fireworks.

All in all I was able to enjoy the show in Schwerin much more because I knew that Elena & Anton couldn't be there. Although I was suprised that Jenni & Todd weren't there, it was still a great show. :-)
