Theatre of Pergamon, which allegedly is, according to some visitor, the steepest ancient theatre of the world. And it is steep indeed.

Asklipeion, the ancient hospital of Pergamon.
One day, an old man came to Asklipeion. They would no let him enter because he was incurably ill. Since he was very thursty and tired, he asked for a cup of milk which they didn't decline. When he was brought the milk he had already fallen asleep. Waking up, the man saw a snake drinking of his milk. He chased her away, drank the rest of the milk and was healed. Since then the snake (and the aesculap stik) is the sign of medicine. There is a second legend though, which also includes the stick.
