Cobh
Harbour

Cobh (then called Queenstown) Harbour - The last port of call for the
Titanic
She was 30 cenitmeters longer than her sister, the Olympic, which is
why she was the biggest ship on the world back then. Her second sister,
the Britannic, sank as well 4 years later.
The ship, that even God himself could not sink, anchored outside
Roche's Point and two tenders brought out 123 passengers and
nearly 1400 sacks of mail. The rest is history.
3 years later, the Lusitania (sisterof the Mauretania), shot by a
torpedo of the U20, sank just 14 miles outside of Kinsale, not far from
Queenstown. Many Lusitanian victims are burried in Cobh.
